ABOUT RCCG Amazing Grace Chapel

RCCG AGC History

Amazing Grace Chapel, Hull is a Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in the United Kingdom with its headquarters in Nigeria and is a UK Registered Charity, with Charity number: 1119496 which was inaugurated on the 8th of May, 2005.

The name of the Parish, ‘Amazing Grace Chapel’ was inspired by Pastor Isaac Aleshinloye’s personal life circumstances which happened to be a function of God’s amazing work of GRACE.

Since its first inaugural meeting till now, we’ve had several hundreds of people who have worshipped with AGC and many have moved on to other phases of their lives.

Despite the challenges that abound and with the majority of the members being students from the University of Hull with an average membership of 750 on Sundays and 250 on Wednesdays, God has indeed bestowed our church with Amazing Grace. Though our significant membership comprises of students, God has been bringing settled families resident in Hull to join us.

Furthermore, AGC has accomplished exceptional results as a Ministry which has given the church much recognition in the community, Hull City council, The Humberside Police, the University of Hull, among other establishments in the city. Our influence and service has brought the church into recognition with Her Royal Majesty, the Queen, which earned us the Queen’s award.

As a result of God’s faithfulness and the faith of the Pastor, God provided us with our place of worship, now our Rehoboth, which is our current place of worship located on Beverley Road since we used to rent a place for worship for about 7 years. We moved to this property in March 2012 and we are proud to say that this is our own property all to the Amazing Grace of God. We are a growing church, and thus far, we give glory to God for the journey so far.

Vision | Mission | Mandate | Believe

Our mission statement is to train and promote youth and women development within and outside the church through spiritual discipleship and capacity building programs and seminars that will educate and empower them to be self-reliant to become useful members of the society and release people to fulfil their destiny in God.

See young people upholding the values of abstinence, purity and chastity before marriage and sexual fidelity in marriage as a way of life. Develop people to have confidence in the area of ministry (ministerial development). Liberty to kingdom services. Building focus (sense of direction) and sense of purpose into the youths. Accommodate everyone from every background.

  • Make heaven.
  • Take as many people as possible.
  • To accomplish No.1 above, holiness will be our lifestyle.
  • And to accomplish No.2 and No.3 above, we will plant churches within five minutes walking distance in every city and town of developing countries and within five minutes driving distance in every city and town of developed countries.
  • We will pursue these objectives until every nation in the world is reached for JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.
  • We believe that the entire Scripture, both Old and New Testaments are written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit – II Tim. 3:16-17. All the Christian teachings and the Christian attitude of the Children of God are such as are established in the Holy Bible – II Tim. 3:10-15; II Peter 1:21; John 17:17; Ps. 119:105.

  • We believe that the Bible is the written and revealed Will of God, man’s position to God and the way to obtain salvation. We also believe that woe and destruction awaits sinners that refuse to repent and they are excluded from the everlasting joy that is kept for the born again souls.

  • All the Bible teachings are Holy. What the Bible reveals as the will of God are such that we should accept, and whatever is written in the Bible are God’s laws and are to remain unchangeable. “For the Heavens and Earth may pass away but the Word of God stands forever”. Deut. 4:22; Rev. 22:18, 19; Matt. 24:34-38.
